A Stonefort woman with outstanding warrants was arrested on Friday in Metropolis after an alleged DUI.

Metropolis Police said that they spotted a pickup as it reportedly drove through a stop sign at Broadway and 11th Street. As they followed the truck, it reportedly failed to stop at 12th and Ferry Streets and at 12th and Metropolis. The officer finally stopped the vehicle along Girard Street, and the driver, 46-year-old Cathryn L. Craig of Stonefort, was said to be under the influence. Craig reportedly had an open container of alcohol in the truck.

A records check found that Craig was wanted for failure to appear on a methamphetamine charge in Johnson County. She was arrested on the warrant and additionally charged with DUI, driving on a revoked license, illegal transportation of open alcohol, and disobeying stop signs.

Craig was booked into the Massac County Detention Center.
