A magnitude 2.4 earthquake was reported in west Tennessee Saturday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis, the quake was centered in Lake County between Ridgely and Tiptonville, 24 miles southwest of Union City.
It occurred at 7:20 am at a depth of 2 1/2 miles.
No damage has been reported from this earthquake, nor have any reports of it being felt been received.
The USGS says that a quake of 2.5 is the threshold of humans being able to detect the ground shaking.
