Five Ballard County teenagers were injured when the SUV they were in was involved in a rollover crash in Graves County, sending all to hospitals.
The crash occurred along KY 121 near the Graves/Carlisle County line at around 8 p.m. According to the Graves County Sheriff's office, an SUV driven by 16-year-old Hunner Bealmear of Wickliffe reportedly ran off the road and rolled several times. The sheriff's office said three of the five teens were ejected from the vehicle.
Two of the teens, 15-year-old Serenity Owens of LaCenter and 17-year-old Kenna Bodell of Kevil, were airlifted to a Nashville hospital from the scene with what were described as life-threatening injuries.
Fourteen-year-old Jared Goode of Wickliffe was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Paducah before being flown to Nashville. Bealmear, along with 14-year-old Cole Morgan of Barlow were driven by Sheriff Jon Hayden and a member of the Graves County Rescue Squad to a Paducah hospital.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the SUV rolled several times while traveling 186 feet off the road. The report said that speed did not appear to be a factor. The crash is still under investigation.
