A crash early Tuesday injured three people and caused damage to the Robert Cherry Civic Center.

The crash occurred just after 6 a.m. when witnesses said a semi driven by 55-year-old Kenneth Flournoy of Tenaha, Texas allegedly ran a red light.

Paducah Police said Flournoy thought his light was green when he continued into the intersection at Park Avenue and struck a pickup driven by 50-year-old Donald B. Tucker of Paducah. The two trucks struck a car sitting at the other side of the intersection driven by 41-year-old Tara Luten, also of Paducah.

The semi crashed through the east wall of the Cherry Civic Center.

Flournoy, Tucker, and Luten were all transported to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment. Tucker told police he could not remember the crash.

Damage assessments on the Civic Center are still being completed. The building has been undergoing renovations, and an update on those is scheduled for Tuesday's city commission meeting.
