A weekend traffic stop landed a Paducah man behind bars on gun and other charges.
Authorities said a vehicle was seen early Saturday morning swerving into opposite lanes of traffic and ultimately striking a curb.
The driver, 39-year-old Demetrius M. Wilson, was reportedly found to be under the influence of alcohol and a search allegedly uncovered a handgun.
Wilson was previously convicted in a 2003 murder and prohibited from owning a firearm.
Officers said Wilson then resisted arrest and tried to prevent them from placing him in the police car.
Wilson's charges included possession of a handgun by a felon, resisting arrest, DUI, reckless driving and disorderly conduct.
He was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
