Two people were injured when an SUV crashed into the front of a home near Fulgham.
Hickman County Sheriff's deputies were called out to Highway 58 East for a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a home. The driver of the SUV, Ashley Wesley, told deputies that she overcorrected before running off the road. She said that once the SUV left the pavement her brakes did not function. Her SUV is said to have hit the house at a point 250 feet off the road. Wesley and her son sustained injuries and both were taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Tony Barnett, who was in the home at the time of the crash, told The Hickman County Times he thought it was an earthquake. No one inside the home was injured.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
