County road departments are having a common experience of dealing with people who move aside Road Closed and High Water signs along flooded roads.

The Lyon County Facebook page posted about the problem of having to put them back in place on a daily basis.

Some signs are have even been run over and damaged or destroyed.

They note that when the signs are moved, the next person doesn't know that there is water over the road and you put their life in danger, along with first responders who may have to save someone's life.

In Marshall County the tunnel on Wadesboro Road had to be closed for repairs, but someone moved the signs and drove through the fresh concrete. Now instead of opening it up, it has to be redone and remain closed for a longer period.
