Resource fair for tornado survivors coming to Mayfield

The US Department of Housing and Urban Development is organizing a resource fair in Mayfield for survivors of the December tornado.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development will bring together federal and state agencies and legal aid services under one roof. 

The event will take place on May 21 from 10 am until 4 pm at the high school gym in Mayfield. The fair is an effort to help answer questions and to provide resources as residents rebuild and repair their homes and lives.

Experts will be on hand to discuss programs and resources, including information on housing, homeowners insurance, foreclosure prevention, title issues, legal services, disaster mitigation, various types of loans, and more.

Sign language and Spanish interpreters will be available to assist survivors. Those with questions about the event should email the HUD Kentucky Field Office at ky_webmanager@hud.gov or call 502-582-5251.
