Man dead, woman jailed following Oak Grove traffic accident

A man is dead and a Clarksville woman jailed following a wreck on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Oak Grove early Friday morning.

Christian County emergency personnel told WKDZ just after 1 am 39-year-old Samuel Whitworth was attempting to cross Fort Campbell Blvd. near the Pilot Travel Center when he was hit by a northbound vehicle operated by 41-year-old Rita Justice of Clarksville.

Whitworth was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner's Office, while Justice was charged with DUI and vehicular homicide under the influence of alcohol.
