Rain returns overnight Thursday

The National Weather Service in Paducah continues to watch rain move in and out of western Kentucky all the way through their weekend forecast.

Most of western Kentucky got a break from the rain today with mostly cloudy skies, while west Tennessee saw the bulk of early thundershowers.

Expect steady rain spreading over the entire area overnight and all day Thursday, with about an inch for most, and a few rumbles of thunder possible. 

The sun will return on Friday with temperatures in the 60s, but another disturbance will bring more rain late Friday night through the first half of Saturday.
