A Princeton man is now facing a murder charge after a woman he is accused of assaulting in January died in March following her injuries.
The indictment, handed down Tuesday from the Caldwell County Grand Jury, charges 33-year-old Trevor Tucker with murder in the death of Patricia Squires. Squires died at Mercy Health Paducah while in hospice care.
The indictment is the result of an incident on January 9th at a home on Haile Road in Dawson Springs. The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department was called regarding a domestic dispute. Deputies then called in backup from the Kentucky State Police. When the officers arrived they found two women with knife wounds suffered allegedly at the hand of 33-year-old Trever L. Tucker of Dawson Springs.
KSP told WKDZ that one of the women, Bailey Whitman, was taken to Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville, while the other, Squires, was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. Squires was eventually moved to Paducah for hospice care.
Tucker remains jailed in Caldwell County on a $1 million bond.
