More severe storms possible Monday night, Tuesday

It looks like we'll have to wait a while longer to string some sunny, dry days together.

Our region is in a slight to marginal risk of severe thunderstorms Monday night, with the best chances in portions of southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois. There is some question as to whether or not storms will maintain their strength as the move into our area from the west. 

On Tuesday, there is a better chance for severe storms, with our entire region in a slight risk Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening.

Rain chances may linger into mid week before drying out toward late week. Cooler temperatures can be expected for mid to late week.
