Princeton man indicted for October murder

A Caldwell County Grand Jury has indicted a Princeton man on murder charges in connection with an October shooting.

WPKY reported 21-year-old Hector Pena faces the charge in connection with the death of 34-year-old Jerrod Cooper in the early morning hours of October 23rd on Beverly Lane.   

During a preliminary hearing last month, Princeton Police said Pena and another man were walking along Beverly Lane when Cooper pulled up in a vehicle, got out and took a couple of steps toward Pena who began shooting.

Pena turned himself in to Princeton Police later in the day and was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail where he is still held on a $1 million bond..
