According to WPKY, Princeton Police say officers were called around 10:00 am to the intersection of Walmart Drive and US 62 West for a two vehicle crash.
At the scene, officers spoke with one of the drivers, 57-year-old Benjamin Backenstose.
During the investigation, officers observed impairment signs and determined Backenstose was under the influence of intoxicating substances.
He was taken into custody, charged with second-offense driving under the influence, and taken to the Caldwell County Jail.
