Power coming back on for West Kentucky Rural Electric customers

The flooding wreaked havoc on systems of all kinds around the area, but power is back on for most in the West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative network.

Their utility crews made significant progress using boats and drones to help navigate less-than-ideal conditions. They said that despite the obstacles as of 8 a.m., all but 50 members have the electricity back on. 

The restoration efforts should be completed Thursday.
