Phares named executive director of Paducah Convention and Visitors Bureau

The Paducah Convention and Visitors Bureau announced Alyssa Phares as its new executive director on Friday.

Phares has an extensive background in tourism including 10 years at VisitCape at Cape Girardeau.

She becomes the organization's eighth executive director, following the 23-year tenure of Mary Hammond, who passed away earlier this year.

Phares will begin her duties in July.
