Marshall County bridge over Chestnut Creek reduced to 3-ton load limit

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has reduced the load limit on a Marshall County bridge.

The bridge on Scale Road over Chestnut Creek is now posted with a 3-ton load limit after an inspection crew found deterioration of the substructure. The bridge is between US 641 and KY 782.

The 3-ton limit restricts the bridge to vehicles no heavier than an SUV or an unloaded pickup truck. 

A bridge replacement project is included in the state's six-year highway plan.
