A pair of Paducah men are facing drug and gun charges after a search of their apartment.

As part of an ongoing investigation, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant Tuesday afternoon on the Parkside Drive apartment of 29-year-old Bobby S. Staples III and 29-year-old Michael R. Lightfoot. The two men were home at the time of the search.

Detectives are said to have located several pounds of marijuana, three handguns, drug paraphernalia, and nearly $77,000 in cash allegedly from drug sales. Reportedly, one of the guns had been stolen in August of 2023 from a location in Paducah.

Both were arrested on charges of firearms-enhanced trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to notify the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet of an address change.

Staples has been additionally charged with receiving stolen property in relation to the reportedly stolen gun.

Staples and Lightfoot were both taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
