Paducah police taking applications for Junior Police Academy program

The Paducah Police Department is now accepting applications for its Junior Citizen's Police Academy.

The program, for children ages 11 through 17, will allow children to learn about the police department and its special units including K9, bomb squad, SWAT, digital forensics, and more.

The class takes place June 12-16, from 9 am until 3 pm, and concludes with a graduation celebration.

Lunch will be provided.
