Police arrested a Paducah pair Tuesday following a man's death by overdose last week.
Authorities were called over the weekend to a home on Buckner Lane for a 27-year-old man choking.
Firefighters arrived at the scene first and gave the man Narcan before he was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The death was reportedly caused by fentanyl, and fentanyl pills were allegedly found in his possession.
The police department said it was later discovered the man had bought the pills from 28-year-old Tyler C. Scarbrough.
Both Scarbrough and 21-year-old Molly K. Smith were arrested in connection with the death.
They were both charged with manslaughter and trafficking in a controlled substance.
Smith was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance, aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance, importing fentanyl, and more.
They were taken to the McCracken County jail.
