A Ballard County fugitive was arrested during a traffic stop in the Farley area on Wednesday.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, detectives stopped a vehicle on Husbands Road near Dixie Avenue.
Detectives said the driver could not provide a driver’s license, then gave detectives a false social security number.
Detectives attempted to detain the man, but he began pulling away and fighting detectives.
Detectives subdued the man, identified as 35-year-old Caleb Hazelwood of Wickliffe. A warrant check revealed that Hazelwood was wanted for two outstanding warrants out of Ballard County for burglary and criminal mischief.
Hazelwood was treated at the scene and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
