A Paducah man was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after the execution of a search warrant.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said they were assisted by Paducah Police in searching the residence of 41-year-old Corey A. Thomas at 836 North 26th Street as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
A search of the residence led to the discovery of approximately two pounds of synthetic marijuana, marijuana, and assorted drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Detectives also seized approximately $7,130 in U.S. currency believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.
Thomas was charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail. The investigation is continuing.
