Paducah man facing gun and drug charges after Friday search

A Paducah man is facing gun and drug charges after a search of his residence on Friday.

Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant on Friday at the Park Avenue residence of 57-year-old Allison Taylor. Taylor was in the home at the time of the search and detectives also found about nine grams of cocaine. There were also digital scales located along with a pair of handguns, one of which had been reported stolen back in 2019.

Taylor had already been convicted of gun and drug charges and was under supervision in the federal system. Due to that previous conviction, Taylor is legally unable to possess guns. 

Taylor was arrested and charged with firearm-enhanced trafficking in cocaine, possession of handguns by a felon, and receiving stolen property in the form of a handgun.
