Paducah man arrested in weekend stabbing

A Paducah man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another man during a fight Friday night.

Paducah Police said they were called to the 1200 block of South 9th Street, where they found a man on the ground bleeding from apparent stab wounds. He was then transported to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery.

Police said that Louis Booker of Paducah called to turn himself in on Saturday. Booker told police that he and the victim had been drinking at a friend's house, where they allegedly got into a fight and he stabbed the victim several times.

Booker was charged with assault and booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
