A Paducah man was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine after a two-week investigation.

McCracken County Sheriff’s detectives got information pertaining to the trafficking of meth in early March. The suspect, 64-year-old Larry L. Hughes of Paducah, reportedly sold meth to undercover officers several times. Warrants were sworn out for Hughes, and on Wednesday, he was served and arrested.

Detectives also searched the 22nd Street home of Hughes and are said to have uncovered and seized other items consistent with trafficking.

Hughes, who was reportedly out on bond from a prior drug-related case, has several prior convictions for trafficking. He was additionally charged with three more counts of trafficking in meth, plus possession of marijuana.

Hughes was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
