Paducah man arrested following incident in Metropolis

A Paducah man was arrested at a Metropolis residence Sunday.

Metropolis Police were called to a residence in the 500 block of East 5th Street where a female victim said she was in an apartment below hers and could hear her ex-boyfriend, 39 year old Jacob M. Ormes, banging on the door and forcing his way in.

Ormes was spotted by Metropolis Police leaving the scene and conducted a traffic stop.

He was charged with two counts of criminal damage to property and during the search, Ormes was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Ormes was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
