A Paducah man that has been accused of multiple burglaries of businesses inside the Coca-Cola building has turned himself in to police.
Paducah Police said 29-year-old Corey J. Perez of Paducah, a former employee of Mellow Mushroom, surrendered just after 2 pm on Wednesday.
Police said they were notified last week of a pair of burglaries at Mellow Mushroom. The restaurant's general manager determined the break-ins took place on consecutive nights.
While searching through surveillance video, they were reportedly able to identify Perez. Perez allegedly broke into the restaurant a total of eight times, including the first time on the day after his employment had been terminated.
Perez is also accused of breaking into Hush Art and stealing some camera equipment in November. Police believe he broke into Sproket last week and turned on a faucet, left it running, and caused over $10,000 in water damage.
Detectives executed a search warrant on Perez's home on Friday. Allegedly they found marijuana along with items from the Hush Art burglary.
Perez is charged with nine counts of burglary, criminal mischief, possession of marijuana, and possession of burglary tools.
