One injured in helicopter crash in Marshall County

One person was injured in a helicopter crash along Kentucky Lake in Marshall County.

According to Kenny Pratt with the Marshall County Rescue Squad, the crash happened just after 1:15 p.m. Sunday. The Robinson R44 went down in the Cambridge Shores area and ended up upside down just up a hill from the water.

One individual injured was taken to the hospital. There were no fatalities.

The cause of the crash will be investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.


The Marshall County Rescue Squad, the East Marshall Fire Department, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, and Marshall County EMS all responded to the scene.
