One person injured in Mayfield accident

A two vehicle accident occured in Mayfield Tuesday.

Mayfield police say the accident took place at the intersection of Cuba Road and East Farthing Street when a vehicle operated by 41-year-old Melissa Gray of Mayfield was northbound on Cuba Road.

Gray suddently turned left and struck head on a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Leighann Collins also of Mayfield.

Gray was transported to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital for treatment of injuries.  

Collins sustained very minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital.  

Two passengers in the Collins vehicle were not hurt.
