One more heat advisory this afternoon

The high humidity across the region is enough to trigger one more heat advisory for western Kentucky from noon until 8pm today.

The National Weather Service in Paducah says an unsettled, steamy high today of 93 will feel like 103 to 106 in western Kentucky, northwest Tennessee and southeast Missouri.

At the same time, scattered storms could develop in the heat, and those storms could produce localized heavy downpours. The weather service says there is a slight risk for excessive rainfall for both Wednesday and Thursday, with the possibility of three or more inches of rain in some locations.

The heavier rain is more likely toward the Pennyrile region and southwest Indiana, but rain will become more widespread into the weekend.
