An Ohio man was arrested in Michigan in connection with a robbery in Paducah last week.
Paducah Police said in a news release Monday they responded last Wednesday to a residence in the 1500 block of Blow Avenue for a reported assault.
Officers learned the victim had recently purchased a vehicle from 32-year-old Tony M. Deccola of Ashtabula, Ohio. After the sale, Deccola returned to the victim's home and demanded either the vehicle or additional money.
During the confrontation, Deccola pointed a .22-caliber rifle at the victim and struck him multiple times with the firearm. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Paducah Police obtained an arrest warrant after determining Deccola had fled the area. On Friday,
the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Deccola in Ypsilanti, Michigan without incident.
Deccola is currently awaiting extradition to Kentucky, where he will face a charge of attempted robbery.
