The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a nighttime work zone on Interstate 24 in McCracken County starting Sunday.
From 6 pm to 6 am, crews will be working in three-mile sections from mile marker 16 to the Ohio River bridge to seal cracks in the asphalt pavement.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane in the work zone
Work zones will have a reduced speed limit of 55 mph.
The work is part of an overall $9.2 million project for sealing and micro-paving along Interstate 24 and Interstate 69 in McCracken, Marshall, Graves, Hickman and Fulton counties.
The estimated target for project competition is about September 30.
