The new Paducah Police K9 officer Karo and his handler Officer Noah Willett are already paying dividends with a trafficking arrest of a Paducah man on Friday.

Officer Willett spotted a vehicle reportedly speeding along Freidman Lane just before 2:30 p.m. Friday. While trying to get the vehicle to stop, Willett reportedly saw the driver, 29-year-old Reco T. Cunningham of Paducah, throw something out the window. Once stopped on Hinkleville Road, Karo hit on the possible presence of drugs in the vehicle. Karo then headed back to where the items were tossed out. There, in a parking lot, two bags containing over 3 ounces of meth were found.

Cunningham was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, and several traffic offenses. He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
