An investigation into a burglary at a storage building in Calloway County led to a Murray man's arrest on Monday.
Deputies spoke to the victim on Highway 121 who said over $1,000 in personal items had been taken.
Authorities determined Mark "Tony" Hutson was a person of interest in the case. He was found that night and arrested on traffic-related offenses. Deputies said they also found several stolen items nearby.
On Tuesday, deputies said they uncovered enough evidence to charge Hutson with burglary and criminal mischief. Hutson's home and vehicle was searched Tuesday afternoon, reportedly leading to the discovery of more stolen items, and tools used during burglaries.
He was additionally charged with possession of burglary tools and theft by unlawful taking.
