Man found dead in water at Jonathan Creek

A 73-year-old man is dead after he was found in the water in Jonathan Creek near Benton.

According to the Marshall County Rescue Squad, the man was found by local fishermen. Marshall County crews attempted life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful.

Marshall County Coroner, Kenny Pratt said the man reportedly had a medical emergency and fell into the water. He was not wearing a life jacket.

Pratt said the man has been identified but his name will not be released pending notification of his family.
