Murray man charged with burglary, assault

A Murray man was charged with burglary and assault from an incident early Sunday morning.

Murray Police said they responded to a residence where a burglary was reportedly in progress just after midnight.

Police said the suspect, 31-year-old Jeremiah Sayles, fled the scene when officers arrived.

After apprehending Sayles, officers learned Sayles had allegedly assaulted an individual while burglarizing the residence. 
The resident sustained minor injuries.

Sayles' charges included burglary, assault, fleeing or evading police and reckless driving.
