Murray Police arrested four Florida men on Thursday after they allegedly passed counterfeit bills at several local businesses.

Police were called after a business in Murray alerted them to the individuals trying to pass what appeared to be phony cash. The representative was able to describe the individuals and their vehicle.

Police located two of the individuals in a vehicle parked near another business. Two others matching the descriptions were spotted inside the business. A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered large amounts of counterfeit cash in wallets.

Police arrested 27-year-old Jason Smalls of Orlando, 19-year-old Malik Jones of Tampa, 18-year-old Travis Jones of Tampa, and 19-year-old Jimmie Council of Seffner, Florida.

Surveillance video helped police locate more of the alleged counterfeit cash torn up in one of the businesses.

All four men were charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.
