An investigation involving sheriff's departments in several counties culminated in a drug bust in Marion.
The Crittenden County Sheriff's Office was joined in the investigation by the departments from Lyon and Livingston Counties, along with the West Kentucky Violent Crimes Task Force, and the Crittenden County Jailer.
That investigation led to the execution of a search warrant on a Keeling Street home in Marion. Deputies arrested 35-year-old William Mayers and 44-year-old Joseph Workman and seized a large quantity of methamphetamine, a gun, and drug paraphernalia.
Mayers was charged with firearm-enhanced trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and having prescription medication not in a proper container.
Workman was charged with trafficking in meth.
Both were taken to the Crittenden County Jail.
