The National Weather Service in Paducah is watching for more strong storms possible Wednesday during another day of record warmth.
A forecast high of 77 tomorrow would shatter the record for the date of 72 set in 2017. Meanwhile, strong south winds may gust 35 to 45 mph throughout the region on Wednesday. A few thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening, which could become strong.
Lingering west winds may gust 30 to 35 mph on Thursday, blowing in a major temperature drop on Friday in the 40s.
Temperatures will recover to the 50s on Saturday and 60s by Monday.
