A Graves County death investigation has led to murder charges against a Water Valley man stemming from a shooting death last Thursday.
A grand jury returned charges of murder and wanton endangerment against 40-year-old Stanley K. Napier Jr. on Tuesday.
Deputies said that a physical altercation occurred between Napier and 49-year-old Daniel Ray Jaco of Clinton.
After the altercation was over, witnesses reported that Napier left the chicken barn and retrieved a handgun, then went back inside and shot Jaco.
Napier was taken into custody at the Graves County Judicial Center. Circuit Judge Kevin Bishop ordered bond to be set at $100,000 cash, or $200,000 in property.
