Princeton 5-year-old found safe, father jailed on murder charge

Kentucky State Police said Monday a Princeton girl reported missing was located and her father was taken into custody.

Five year old Lela Black is safe and her father, 42-year-old Byron Black, is being held in the Caldwell County Jail on a charge of murder - domestic violence.

He's accused of the Sunday death of his wife, 42-year-old Kelly Black. Kelly Black was found with a gunshot wound to the head at her Center Street residence.

Kentucky State Police said they received a call on Sunday from the Princeton Police Department asking for help with a death investigation.

An Amber Alert had been issued Monday morning for Lela Black. She was reported missing after being last seen on Friday.
