Metropolis woman arrested for drugs after calling police about missing prescription

A Metropolis woman was arrested on drug charges Saturday after calling police about a missing prescription.

Officers went to the home of 40-year-old Ashley R. Jenkins after she called to report her Suboxone, which is a controlled substance, had been stolen. While in the home, officers could see drug paraphernalia in full view. Jenkins was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Police said the investigation is continuing, as the Suboxone was not found. More arrests are expected.
