Metropolis man found hiding in refrigerator after removing ankle monitor

A man was found hiding in a refrigerator in Metropolis after police said he removed his ankle monitoring bracelet.

Metropolis police began looking for 33-year-old Randy L. Bradley, Jr. last week after they said he cut off his ankle monitor.

Officers found him in a home on Ferry Street hiding in a refrigerator.

Bradley, Jr. was charged with escape, and with criminal damage to state-supported property.

He was taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
