Metropolis man charged in gas station burglary

A Metropolis man has been charged in connection to a burglary at a local gas station. 

Metropolis Police said that the Marathon station on 12th Street was burglarized last week. Detectives, through their investigation, linked 30-year-old Dalton A. Light to the case. They obtained and executed a search warrant at Light's home and reportedly found further evidence. Light was arrested and taken to the Massac County Detention Center.

Light faces charges of burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.
