Metropolis man arrested following traffic stop

A Metropolis man was arrested following a traffic stop Monday night.

Metropolis police observed a vehicle exiting Acee's Truck Stop and turning north on Devers Street.  The vehicle did not have its headlights on and was observed going slow and weaving.

The vehicle was pulled over and the driver, 38-year-old Anthony J. Jones, showed signs of extreme intoxication.  Hre was taken to the Massac County Sheriff's Office for processing where he refused all tests.

Jones was released on notice to appear.
