Two out of state residents arrested in Lyon County

Two out of state residents were arrested last Friday in Lyon County.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office received a suspicious persons report on KY 730 East.  Callers said a maroon van with Oregon registration plates was seen with the driver claiming to be out of gas as he went to each residence.

The van and occupants were found on Eddy Creek Road near KY 730 East.  36-year-old Shane O. Eloughary of Seattle, WA was found to be operating on a suspended license for a DUI and other traffic offenses.

The passenger, 54year-old Leslie J. Brown of Raytown, MO, was found to be a wanted fugitive charged with failure to appear out of Platte City, Mo for a drug possession case and a consumption of illegal substance offense. 

Both were lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
