A single-vehicle accident in McCracken County on Tuesday ended in a Paducah woman's arrest on a warrant and several new charges.
Deputies responded to the accident on Lovelaceville Road where they learned the driver, 29-year-old Shayna Rudd, had fled the scene.
Deputies found Ruud at her home soon after and learned she had an active warrant for her arrest.
As she was being arrested, she reportedly fought with deputies. After a brief struggle, deputies said they found meth and prescription pills on her person.
Ruud was taken to the McCracken County jail where jailers allegedly found more meth and pills.
She was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and promoting contraband.
