A swarm of at least four small earthquakes were detected in west Tennessee within a three-hour span early on Thanksgiving morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey in Memphis, the tremors occurred at 2:38 a.m., 2:40 a.m., 3 a.m. and 5:08 a.m.
They were all tightly bunched in a location two miles northeast of Ridgley, with magnitudes measured at 2.1, 2.0, 1.8 and 1.8, all too small to be felt by humans.
There have been more than two dozen tremors of similar magnitude in Lake County over the past six months.
