A McCracken County man was arrested Monday after fleeing from deputies.
Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department said they were conducting surveillance in West Paducah after receiving complaints of thefts and drug activity when they observed a suspicious vehicle.
The vehicle driven by 53-year-old Danny Crenshaw of McCracken County fled, and ran a stop sign at Old U.S. Highway 60 and Hinkleville Road.
Crenshaw turned onto Mayfield Metropolis Road, failed to negotiate a turn and the vehicle rolled over.
While searching the vehicle, detectives said they allegedly seized marijuana wax and $797 believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales. They also allegedly found a backpack that had been thrown from the car with several baggies of marijuana packed for sale, as well as 133 doses of Xanax.
On parole for numerous prior felony convictions, Crenshaw was charged with trafficking in marijuana and Xanax, fleeing or evading police and disregard of a stop sign.
