A Mayfield woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with a lengthy investigation of the sale of prescription drugs.
Deputies with the Graves County Sheriff's Office said they had been receiving complaints that 66-year-old Ava Davis of Mayfield was allegedly selling various drugs, including prescription controlled substances.
Undercover drug purchases helped lead to her arrest Tuesday when deputies and the Kentucky State Police served a warrant at her home on State Route 1241.
They said they allegedly found Lortab, gabapentin, suboxone, over $7,000, a loaded handgun and 15 food stamp cards she took for payment.
Davis was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, fraudulent use of a government benefit card and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
